Digital greeting cards and Good Gift / Monetary donations
The Determined Price of Digital Greeting Cards
The price of digital greeting cards and Good Gift / Monetary donations will be calculated in UK Pound Sterling. When you complete your order it will be shown as a total cost at the bottom of the Shopping Basket page. Subject to our obligation to supply digital greeting cards at the price stated in accepted orders, we reserve the right to increase or decrease the list price of digital greeting cards at any time, subject to the increase or decrease appearing on the website.
Donation to charity
Each digital greeting card costs £1.99 (UK Pound Sterling). The charity selected receives £1.00; 33p is value added tax (VAT Registration No. 853 9099 84);
If paying by credit card: 7p is for card processing and anti-fraud charges.
59p goes towards running the website, paying artists, processing donations and fulfilling our guarantee.
If paying by debit card: 35p is for card processing and anti-fraud charges.
31p goes towards running the website, paying artists, processing donations and fulfilling our guarantee.
If paying by PayPal: 27p is for PayPal processing and anti-fraud charges.
39p goes towards running the website, paying artists, processing donations and fulfilling our guarantee.
All Good Gift / Monetary donations are passed on to the selected Charity subject to a transaction fee of 10% plus VAT of the gross donation including Gift Aid reclaimed and payment processing charges. If a Gift Aid declaration has not been made, then a fee of 5% plus VAT and the payment processing charge (as mentioned above) is deducted from the gift donation with the balance going to the Charity.
Good Gifts are real examples of the Charity’s requirements; however Good Gifts may only be indicative of the type of work funded through your donation. When purchasing a Good Gift from CharityGreetings.com, you are making a donation to support the Charity’s vital work and all donations are allocated wherever the need is greatest.
The charities are paid monthly, four weeks in arrears via online banking, subject to a minimum remittance of £10.
Email Addresses
It is your responsibility to insert a correct/valid email address of the recipient. If the Charity Greetings email is returned as undelivered or is blocked by a firewall or spam filter, we will endeavour to contact you for an alternative email address and we will resend the Charity Greetings email. Please note we cannot refund a digital greeting card once it has been sent. In the case of constant undelivered emails, the charity selected will still receive your £1.00 donation and, if applicable, your Good Gift / Monetary donation. Please note free email accounts such as Hotmail and Yahoo, etc may direct the Charity Greeting email into a ‘junk’ folder.
Message
The message you write in your digital greeting card is your responsibility. Please check your message carefully as we do not check your messages and correct spelling mistakes, etc. The digital greeting card will be sent exactly as submitted and cannot be altered after transaction is complete.
Orders
Once an order has been placed, you will receive a confirmation email from our payment gateway service provider, WorldPay. Do not assume your order has been accepted if a confirmation email has not been received. The digital greeting card will be sent immediately if requested for that day or at 2.00 a.m. GMT on the morning of the scheduled delivery date.
Cancellations
Once an order has been placed and the transaction has completed, the digital greeting card(s) cannot be cancelled.
